The aircraft was also fitted with extra fuel tanks giving it a remarkable range for long reconnaissance missions deep into enemy territory.The PR. XIX entered service during the final stages of World War II where it played a crucial role in gathering intelligence over Europe. Powered by the Rolls-Royce Griffon engine the PR. It also took part in post-D-Day operations monitoring the movement of German forces and aiding in the identification of targets for both air and ground strikes.
